Radio Communication

Radio Communication

Cadets are instructed in the procedures and protocol on using radio telephones to communicate with other parties, as well as the proper operation and maintenance of communications equipment. Radio Communication (RATEL) is an important skill for those looking to work closely with their peers.

Whilst much of RATEL is concerned with communication over a radio telephone, much of the skills used are also prevalent in everyday life. RATEL allows you to communicate more effectively by encouraging the use of more succinct language in order to achieve a common goal, whilst also stressing the importance of speed and accuracy when conveying information.
